Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the most famous Greek tennis players in the world. He is known for his all-court play. With the help of his aggressive groundstrokes, he has been able to win 2 ATP singles and 1 doubles tournament. He started his season with participation in the ATP Cup for Greece. He then participated in the Australian Open to reach the semi-finals. Here he lost to eventual finalist Daniil Medvedev.

He was excellent in the Rotterdam ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament to play the final match against Felix-Auger Aliassime. However, he lost to the Canadian in straight sets. He won his first ATP singles title this year by clinching the Monte Carlo Masters tournament. He then participated in the Italian Open to prepare well for the French Open. He reached the final round but could not win the title. Here, he was defeated by Novak Djokovic.

The 24-year-old could not do much in the French Open as he was knocked out of the tournament by Holger Rune in the fourth round. He won the Mallorca Championships but was knocked out by Nick Kyrgios in the third round of the Wimbledon. He reached the final of the Cincinnati Masters but lost to Borna Coric. Daniel Elahi Galan knocked him out in the first round of the US Open.

The Greek played back-to-back finals of the Astana Open and Stockholm Open but lost both matches. He also played the semi-final match against eventual finalist Novak Djokovic at the 2022 Paris Masters tournament. In the ongoing ATP Finals tournament, he lost his first match against Novak Djokovic but won his second group stage match against Daniil Medvedev to keep his hopes alive to advance into the next round.

Andrey Rublev is one of the brightest talents on the ATP Tour. He started his season with participation in the Australian Open. He was knocked out in the third round of the tournament by Marin Cilic. He then played at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. He reached the semi-finals but could not win against Felix Auger Aliassime. He won his first singles.

The season for Andrey Rublev has been outstanding. This year, he won one doubles title and four ATP singles titles. He competed in the Australian Open to start his season, however, Marin Cilic eliminated him from the competition in the third round. Then, he won the men’s singles and the doubles titles at the Open 13 Provence with his partner Denys Molchanov. He then won the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships.

Later, he competed in the Indian Wells Open, where Taylor Fritz defeated him in the semifinals. In the Serbia Open final, where he defeated Novak Djokovic, he won his third ATP championship of the year. He reached the quarter-finals round of the French Open but lost again to Marin Cilic.

The Russian came back strongly to win the Gijon Open. He is at the ATP Finals and won his first match against fellow Russian Daniil Medvedev, but lost his second group-stage match to Novak Djokovic.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the most consistent participants of the ATP Finals tournament in the recent few years. He also won the title in 2019. He is in great form, too. However, Andrey Rublev cannot be discounted. He may be a rookie, but he is one of the most formidable opponents on the court. It will be a lip-smacking encounter.
