On the other hand, Austria’s Sebastian Ofner ousted Christopher O’Connell in his Round of 32 match yesterday. Emerging victorious over three sets Ofner made a stellar comeback in the second set. He sealed his ticket to the Round of 16, with a 6-7, 7-6, 7-5 win.

At the Shanghai Masters, the 27-year-old lost his second-round match to American seed, Tommy Paul. He also faced defeat at the hands of Frances Tiafoe in the second round of the US Open. The 27-year-old, however, made it to the semi-finals in Astana at the beginning of October as an unseeded player.
