Alcaraz won the match (5)6-7,7-5, 7-6(5) to become the youngest player to reach the finals of the Madrid Open.

Alcaraz faltered in the first set but he held his nerves to return in the second set. He played sublime tennis to counter Djokovic’s genius. The teenage sensation performed big time and sealed the third set and wrapped up a famous win. He became the first player to win against Nadal and Djokovic on clay as he is looking to write his own history.

On the other hand, Alexander Zverev has fought through several aspects to reach the finals in Madrid. The big German will be going out in the finals to defend his title as he defeated Monte Carlo Masters winner Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals. Zverev showed great tenacity and grit to hold out the Greek and wrap up the game 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 to progress to the finals.
