Italian tennis ace Jannik Sinner won his maiden Grand Slam title on Sunday when he beat Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in the 2024 Australian Open final. Sinner staged a comeback for the ages as he came back from two sets behind to claim the match in three sets. The 22-year-old was over the moon following his title win in Australia.

Sinner expressed his feelings in an emotional on-court interview. The Italian thanked everyone, from his parents to coaches and the fans. Sinner also posed with the trophy as he lifted it with both his hands. The 22-year-old also took part in the champion photo shoot the next morning.

Sinner kept the trophy close to him ever since he was handed it. However, while traveling back to Italy, Sinner was spotted carrying the replica of the Australian Open trophy in a bag as if it were a piece of normal luggage.
