American tennis star Ben Shelton suffered a hefty damage to his dear and expensive possession while he was on the University of Florida campus. Shelton’s car got booted despite parking in a permitted place. The 21-year-old shared the news on his social media account.
Shelton seemed pretty frustrated about getting his car booted despite following the guidelines. The American tennis ace also claimed that his car’s rim was scratched. Shelton shared a video showing how his car was all locked up with a seizure notice pasted on the window glass.

The 21-year-old also wrote a small caption describing his feelings.

Ben Shelton searching for his second tour-level title
While this incident would have some impact on Ben Shelton, the American tennis ace will focus on what lies ahead for him on the court. Shelton is searching for his second tour-level title. After landing his maiden title at the Tokyo Open last year, Shelton’s performances have taken a hit.

The 21-year-old American had two back-to-back first-round exits at the end of the 2023 season. Although Shelton benefitted from his semifinal qualification at the 2023 US Open and then the title-winning performance in Tokyo, the expectations for an even better showing shot up.
However, the American has not been able to live up to those expectations. Ben Shelton started the 2024 season in Brisbane but had another first-round exit. He buckled up in Auckland, making it to the semifinal. At the 2024 Australian Open, Shelton made it to the third round but only to be defeated by Adrian Mannarino.
In Dallas, Ben Shelton again made it to the semifinal but was taken down by compatriot Tommy Paul in straight sets. Now, with the Indian Wells and Miami Open lined up, Shelton will be hoping to turn the tide around. It is to be seen if the American lives up to the expectations at the two Masters tournaments or if Shelton will have to wait longer for the second title.
