Nick Kyrgios, the 27-year-old Australian tennis professional has recently cemented his position as one of the best players in the world currently. Kyrgios managed to reach the finals of the 2022 Wimbledon where he was beaten by Novak Djokovic in the penultimate match. The Australian tennis professional then went on to win the Citi Open before competing at the US Open.

Kyrgios recently captured all the headlines through an Instagram Q/A session. The Australian called out compatriot Bernard Tomic as he was asked about a possible match up with him. Kyrgios said, “Tbh don’t think I wanna make him relevant anymore. I’m not gonna bother with someone 800 in the world but all the best.”

Bernard Tomic clearly did not take lightly to Kyrgios calling him out like that. The Australian had a reply of his own for Kyrgios. He said, “Just a matter of time before I see you Nicky boy. #obsessed #scared.”

Tomic indicated that Kyrgios was scared of facing him and that he was obsessed which was clear from the hashtags he used in his story. Currently ranked 660 in the ATP rankings, Tomic would be eager to get back into the top 100 once again.
