On Sunday, March 26, Bianca Andreescu secured a spot in the fourth round of the Miami Open by defeating Sofia Kenin 6-4, 6-4 in the third round. In their fourth encounter, Bianca Andreescu displayed excellent tennis skills to defeat Sofia Kenin in straight sets, marking her third victory against Kenin. During the match, the Canadian player had a humorous moment when she served on the wrong side of the court in the second set.

Bianca Andreescu’s mistake during the match was followed by a lighthearted reaction from the player. She responded to her error with humor, resulting in her only double fault of the match. The WTA shared a video of the incident on Twitter with a caption that read: “We’ve all been there Bibi. Love your reaction.”

Bianca Andreescu replied to the WTA’s tweet with a humorous comment, implying that the ball was in by jokingly saying that it caught the baseline. She tweeted, “I think that caught the line tbh.” Bianca Andreescu has reached the fourth round of the Miami Open, marking her first appearance in the tournament since 2021. In that year, she was the runner-up but was forced to retire in the final against Ashleigh Barty due to an ankle injury.

Despite feeling like she is giving her all, the 22-year-old admits that there is always more to learn and ways to improve her game. “I feel like there’s always room for improvement even if I’m feeling like I’m at 100 percent, but I know I’m never at 100 percent because there’s so much that I know I can learn,” she told.

Bianca Andreescu is doing well in the 2023 Miami Open, having won against Maria Sakkari, the tenth-ranked player in the world. This win ended a losing streak of five matches against players in the top 10. She expressed that she thinks she is currently performing at 75 to 80 percent of her full potential.
