Former Swedish tennis player Bjorn Borg revealed in the latest interview that his wife, Patricia Ostfield, is currently writing a biography about his life. The former World No. 1 said that for the sake of the book, he has to share many such stories and information with his wife that he had kept hidden from her in the past, and she does not necessarily like all of those stories. 

“No, but my wife [Patricia Östfeld] is writing a book about my life which will be released next year. It will be published in Swedish and English. So we have a lot of nice chats about my life. It’s difficult because there are things she didn’t know and she’s sometimes not very happy with what I tell her. I’m glad she does. We have been together for 23 years and she knows me well,” said the 67-year-old.

For the uninitiated, Bjorn Borg is currently preparing for the much-awaited 2023 Laver Cup, which will be the sixth edition of the tournament. He will be the captain of Team Europe in the tournament and has some talented and big names on his team.

Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev, Holger Rune, Hubert Hurkacz, Gael Monfils, and Arthur Fils (alternate) are all members of Team Europe, and Bjorn Borg will also be assisted by his vice-captain, Thomas Enqvist.

Swedish legend Bjorn Borg was one of the best tennis players of his time. He won 11 Grand Slam title in the Open Era, including six French Opens and five consecutive US Opens, which is a sensational achievement. He has a record of 6-0 in French Open finals and has also won the trophy four times consecutively. 

In 2002, Borg completed his third marriage with Patricia Ostfeld, who is a real estate agent. Coincidentally, Bjorn Borg had also started his career in real estate after retirement, and that is how they met each other on a vacation. The couple have been happily together for 20 years now and have a son named Leo. Borg was also Patricia’s second marriage, and she has two children, Bianca Bernhardina Norrman and Kasper Norrman, from her first marriage.
