Tennis Twitter criticized the Italian Masters organizers for high ticket prices.
Italian Open 2023
There is growing resentment among fans for the poor ticketing strategy at the ongoing 2023 Italian Masters. We have witnessed empty stands in a couple of big matches in Rome already this week, with most of them being night session matches.
Fans have complained that the ticket prices at the Rome Masters is unreasonably high. The prices for the Centre Court and Grandstand are almost unaffordable for many fans, who are eager to witness the tennis stars in action. Moreover, the night session matches demand a separate pass, which is the prime reason why the stands remain unfilled.
Generally, tickets are priced at a higher rate for the Centre Court and Grandstand when the local Italian players are in action. However, this time around, prices have soared irrespective of who is scheduled to play on any given day.
