Saudi Arabia certainly does not have a good track record in terms of human rights issue, particularly when it comes to women. The oil-rich country has often been criticized for their oppressive behavior towards women. Hence, Martina Navratilova is bewildered by the decision of Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson and Brooke Henderson to participate in the upcoming Saudi-backed tournament.

Nelly Korda, who won the Aramco Team Event in Spain, headlines the field at the Trump Ferry Point. Martina Navratilova questions the stance of the women golfers, whether they care about the atrocities being committed in Saudi Arabia against women.

The event in New York will feature a 36-hole team tournament, alongside a 54-hole individual tournament. The final will be held in Jeddah next month, with huge prize money up for grabs.

Martina Navratilova is a bold and fearless woman, who believes firmly in human rights. The former American tennis player has been a staunch supporter of the LGBT community for over four decades now. She has donated ample of money to support this cause. Hence, it comes as no surprise that the tennis icon has taken a jibe at the women golfers for their decision to participate in the Saudi backed tournament.
