Cameron Norrie has had a pretty good season so far. The British No.1 started the season with a quarterfinal outing at Rotterdam before winning the Delray Beach Open and then made it to the final of the Mexican Open where he lost to Rafael Nadal. At Indian Wells, he reached the quarterfinals and then made it to the Round of 16 of the Miami Masters. In the clay season, he won the Lyon Open but then bowed out of the third round of the French Open. He then made it to his maiden major semifinal at Wimbledon where he lost to Novak Djokovic. Last week, he reached the final of the Los Cabos Open. This week at Montreal, he defeated Brandon Nakashima and Botic van de Zandschulp in the opening two rounds.

Felix Auger Aliassime started the season by making it to the quarterfinal of the Australian Open and then followed it up by winning his maiden title at Rotterdam. He then finished runner-up at Marseille and then what followed was a string of poor outing for the next two months. He then made it four back-to-back quarterfinals at Barcelona, Estoril, Madrid, and Rome, and then pushed Rafael Nadal to five sets at the French Open. After the grass season, Felix reached the semifinals at Los Cabos last week. At Montreal this wee, he defeated Yoshihito Nishioka in the second round in straight sets 7-6(6),6-4.
