The Nitto ATP Finals is underway in the magnificent city of Turin. It is a star-studded tournament featuring the top 8 players but recently it became more star-studded with the feature of German soccer star Sami Khedira.

Recently, Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev met the footballer ahead of their first match of the finals. Sami Khedira met the two stars at their practice courts. Khedira was a central midfielder who played for Real Madrid, Hertha, Juventus, and Germany. The tournament not only managed to attract hundreds of fans but also world-famous athletes. This is also another example of the crossover between sports and how respect is kept within players.

Carlos Alcaraz is seeded as number 2 in the tournament leading his red group. He qualified last year but was unable to compete due to an injury. This is his debut year and will face the German Alexander Zverev in the first match of this prestigious ATP Finals.

The Spaniard is up against a player who has won the ATP Finals twice already. Both the players met up in the quarterfinals of the US Open where the Spaniard stood victorious and marched on to the semifinals.

Novak Djokovic seen alongside Sami Khedira supporting Juventus 

Tennis Giant Novak Djokovic was one of the few special guests who were present for the match between Juventus and Cagliari. Sami Khedira was also spotted cheering for his former team alongside Stephan Lichtsteiner. Djokovic is known to be a huge Milan fan but was in the match to support the other teams. The 24-time Grand Slam winner is a renowned football fan who has been there for various matches and events. He was recently seen at the Ballon d’Or ceremony where he even announced a winner’s name.

The Serb is also in Italy for the ATP Finals. He was the second player to qualify for the finals after Alcaraz. Djokovic has a phenomenal 46-17 record at this tournament along with 6 titles. He is the defending champion and will surely look to end the year with another win.

The Serb is tied with the legendary Roger Federer for the most number of ATP Finals trophies and this year gives him a good opportunity to break another Federer record. However, the Serb has to face the likes of Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Holger Rune to advance closer to the trophy.
