The 2024 Indian Wells Open is just a couple of matches away from getting its new winners. The finals for the 47th edition of the tournament are scheduled for Sunday, 17 March. But before the final showdown, the four semifinals were played across two days. The likes of Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek, Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, and Carlos Alcaraz were in action.
While Gauff locked horns against Maria Sakkari of Greece in the first women’s singles semifinal, Swiatek took on Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk. In the men’s singles semifinals, Alcaraz and Sinner played against each other while Medvedev faced Tommy Paul in the last-four stage.
It was a win for Medvedev and Alcaraz in the men’s singles matches while Swiatek and Sakkari booked a spot in the women’s singles final. For American WTA star Gauff, it was yet another heartbreak.
