We will play again. Stay strong and have a quick recovery.

Alcaraz, who missed the tournament last year knows very well what it feels to be out of a tournament in such a way. The match lasted just 66 minutes.

Not the way anybody wants to move on.
Alcaraz told the AO Presser

The game between the two was absolutely one-sided. During the first set, Shang held serve in his first game, but the Spaniard won the next six games without facing a single break point.

The second set was no different, with the Chinese player struggling due to his injury and the Spaniard’s skills. Alcaraz held the serve in the third set when the teenager felt that he could not continue the match.

Carlos Alcaraz’s move towards glory continues in the Australian Open

The Spaniard started off the season with the Grand Slam without playing in any of the ATP 250 tournaments. He has performed consistently well in his last matches at the tournament.

Beating the likes of Lorenzo Sonego in four sets etc., has been some of the feisty performances from the Spaniard.

The World No. 2 will be up against World No. 60 Miomir Kecmanovic in the fourth round of the tournament. The Serbian beat in-form Tommy Paul in five sets in his last match. Moreover, he denied the American a single point in the deciding set of the match.
