The reigning Wimbledon champion, Carlos Alcaraz recently in an interview mentioned how he believed Jannik Sinner had real potential of winning a Grand Slam and achieving the World No.1 ranking in the next season.

Jannik Sinner showed a commendable performance to defeat the 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic in a 3-set thriller at the ATP Finals. His rival, Carlos Alcaraz seemed impressed by Sinner’s performance and claimed that he will have a good season next year on tour.

In 2024 Jannik will be a serious candidate to win a Grand Slam. I think he will even be able to reach No. 1, or put himself in a position to get there.

Jannik Sinner looked absolutely formidable as he played a 3-set thriller against Novak Djokovic in the second group stage match of the ATP Finals in Turin. The match, which lasted for about 3 hours, saw Jannik Sinner overcoming the Serb to beat him 7-5,6-7(5),7-6(2). Carlos Alcaraz, after his win against Andrey Rublev mentioned in the post-match press conference how it was one of the best matches that he had watched all season.

Carlos Alcaraz also stated how the crowd support in favor of Jannik Sinner worked wonders for the Italian as the crowd was able to get inside the Serbian’s head which caused him to lose his momentum in the 3rd set tie-break.

He extended his appreciation for Sinner as he played an incredible match to uproot the mighty Serb. The Spanish tennis player also went ahead to claim that Sinner has the capability to win a major next year and also reach the top of the rankings as well.

As Jannik Sinner managed to defeat the US Open champion, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz was nothing but all praise for the Italian. He was left in awe after the ‘hard-fought’ match ended.

As a tennis fan I saw Sinner's match against Djokovic, I think it was one of the best of the season. Very hard fought, everyone enjoyed it. I had fun watching it, it was incredible.

Carlos Alcaraz also won his second-round match at the group stage, defeating Russian Andrey Rublev, and will now face Daniil Medvedev in his final group-stage match. A couple of days ago, Alcaraz lost to Alexander Zverev in his opening match in Turin.
