The news about Aryna Sabalenka’s boyfriend’s demise has become a hot topic in the tennis world, as reporters make it a must ‘ask this question’ to other players. Recently, they got a reaction from tennis veteran Caroline Wozniacki about Sabalenka and how she is feeling in this horrific situation.
Wozniacki was present in the post-match conference after her first-round victory against Clara Burel at the ongoing Miami Open. It was a convincing victory for the Dane, who cleaned up her opponent in straight sets. However, many were interested in the interview which took place after the match, as a question about Sabalenka was bound to arise.

Rightly so, a reporter carefully framed their question and indirectly asked her to speak more about the recent tragedy. Though the Dane did not speak about the incident, she spoke about her reaction to this situation, and how she reached out to Sabalenka.
I can’t even imagine what she’s going through right now. I’m saying that. I’m also tearing up. It’s such a terrible situation. It’s so hard. I reached out to her, and I told her that I was here if she needed anything.Wozniacki in the post-match conference
It is indeed a difficult situation for Sabalenka, who continues to participate in the Miami Open despite the demise of her boyfriend, Konstantin Koltsov, on Tuesday. Nonetheless, the tennis world sends their love and strength to the Belarusian.
Caroline Wozniacki heartbroken to see her colleague Aryna Sabalenka suffer
In a recent post-match interview, Danish pro Caroline Wozniacki was caught with questions about her colleague Aryna Sabalenka, and her health after the unfortunate demise of her boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov. Being mindful of the situation, Wozniacki did not reveal much but spoke about her feelings towards this situation.

The whole tennis world was shocked after Sabalenka did not withdraw from the Miami Open. Even after such a personal loss, she continues to play in the tournament. After witnessing an always-smiling Sabalenka, the world would maybe see a rather quiet version of the World No. 2 for a couple of days. Wozniacki however, sends her love to the Belarusian and is heartbroken to see a bubbly person like Sabalenka go through this.
I love Aryna. I think she's such a great person. She's always so happy and out there. To see her go through that, it's heartbreaking. I can't even imagine what she's going through right now. Everyone grieves in a different wayWozniacki added
Nonetheless, the tournament goes on, and Wozniacki has made her place in the next round. After finishing a straight-set victory against Burel, she now gears up to face Anhelina Kalinina. Wozniacki would be eying a long run, after seeing success in the Indian Wells Masters.
