In the ongoing Cincinnati Open, she received a bye in the first round, and then she beat beating Marta Kostyuk 6-7(5-7) 6-1, 6-2 in the second round matchup.
On the other hand, Emma Raducanu has been on the news since her massive victory at the 2021 US Open but hasn’t lived up to expectations since then and hasn’t been great this season managing just 12 wins and 14 losses. She made it to the quarterfinals of the Stuttgart Open losing to Iga Swiatek and the Citi Open which has been her best finish this year so far. She faced 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams in the first-round match at the ongoing Cincinnati Open and then she beat two-time Grand Slam winner Victoria Azarenka in the second round tie ending the match with a 6-0, 6-2 win.
