Former tennis star Martina Navratilova was known for her dominance in tennis. Back in her time, she had a few epic clashes and was considered one of the best female tennis players in the world. Navratilova, now a 67-year-old woman, is known for being extremely vocal about her thoughts on social media. She already has some predictions in her kitty ahead of 2024. season

The former 18-time Grand Slam champion revealed her predictions on WTA. She affirmed that Iga Swiatek can end 2024 as the World No.1 once again. After a rocky season of ups and downs, Swiatek held her form in the second half of the season and snatched her spot as the World No.1 from Aryna Sabalenka.

Navratilova admitted a few weeks ago, she didn’t think Swiatek would clinch the No.1 spot next year. But after her heroics in the second half of the 2023 season, the American legend has total trust in Swiatek. She also said that Gauff might topple Sabalenka to snatch the World No.2 spot but there’s no catching Swiatek.

That was Iga showing that, at her best, she is better than anybody. I mean, in difficult conditions, she just blew right through everybody. She gets into the points better and knows how to close the deal. I’ll be honest … a few weeks ago, based on what I was seeing, I didn’t think she’d finish 2024 at No.1 next year -- I was picking Gauff. Now I think maybe Gauff will pass Sabalenka for No.2. But I don’t know if either one of them can get past Iga if she has a good offseason, stays healthy, stays fresh.

Martina Navratilova predicts Coco Gauff to win the Wimbledon

Former Wimbledon champion, Martina Navratilova also predicted that the American teen Coco Gauff could win the 2024 Wimbledon. Gauff has been impressively rising through the ranks and after a first-ever Grand Slam win at Flushing Meadows, she has become one of the most reliable youngsters in the game.

Navratilova believes Wimbledon is the best bet for Gauff to win a major next year accounting for her net game and her improved drop shot.

I would be surprised if she doesn’t win another major this year, and Wimbledon makes the most sense. I think it’s on grass because she’s better at the net than any of them and moves forward so well. That and her improved drop shot. 

Coco Gauff has had an incredible run in 2023 and fans are hoping for more from the 19-year-old. However, next year, many players like Naomi Osaka and Emma Raducanu are all set to make a return, leaving the possibilities wide open for anyone to win the big tournaments.
