Coco Gauff, a budding tennis player, has shared a novel reaction to her recent on-court troubles. Gauff resolved to turn a setback into an opportunity for personal growth after her dismal first-round loss at Wimbledon last month, where she fell to compatriot Sofia Kenin.
Gauff took a proactive move after her setback at Wimbledon by enrolling in a 90-minute CPR class. Her choice was motivated by a desire to rediscover fulfillment and happiness following what she regarded as a disappointing experience at the famous grasscourt Major. Gauff aired her frustrations honestly, saying, “The class took 90 mins after I lost at Wimbledon. I came home and needed something to give me some fulfillment because that tournament did nothing for me.”
During the post-match interview in the Cincinnati Open, the commentator told her how a fan fell ill and how all he could think about was ‘Where is Coco?’ Gauff laughed at him and explained her reason as to why she took the test. She also urged everyone to go ahead and get the certificate because one never knows when they might need it.
Coco Gauff’s net worth is around $10 million and her CPR skills came in open recently during a match at the Citi Open. During her quarter-final match against Belinda Bencic, a spectator became unwell. She was ready to help if needed, equipped with her recently acquired CPR skills. Fortunately, her fast thinking was not necessary, and she went on to win her match.
Gauff offered her thoughts on the situation after that match, adding, “At first I was just making sure that it wasn’t something cardiac. I just took a CPR class, so if they needed me to jump in I was ready. I have my certification.”

Coco Gauff powers into WTA 1000 round of 16 at Cincinnati
Gauff, the seventh seed, advanced to the third round of the WTA 1000 event at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati on Wednesday night with a dominating 6-2, 6-2 victory against Mayar Sherif. In her fourth appearance at the Queen City tournament, this is Gauff’s first time making it past the second round. Notably, she had been eliminated in the first round the previous year.
Gauff’s fast 80-minute dispatch of Sherif guaranteed her berth in the last 16, a significant milestone in her career at this event, despite benefiting from a first-round win.
Gauff and Sherif traded service breaks to start the match. Gauff then gained momentum, maintaining her 2-2 tie by denying Sherif three key points. She dominated, finishing the match with a great effort. She displayed her abilities by fending off two break points in the first game of the second set and then winning the next three games.
Gauff will face Czech Republic teenager Linda Noskova in the next round. The forthcoming match will be their second meeting, with Gauff leading 1-0 after a victory in Indian Wells earlier this spring. Gauff has an impressive unblemished record of 3-0 against opponents her age. There have been many rumors about Coco Gauff’s boyfriend but currently, she is single.
