American youngster Coco Gauff has finally announced her return to form by wrapping up the recent Citi Open 2023 title. She was up against the fourth-seed and Greek ace Maria Sakkari but didn’t allow her opponent to get the best of her even once in the whole match. Coco finished the match with by a scoreline of 6-2, 6-3.

A lot of hope was on her, with Coco facing a lot of critics leading up to the tournament concerning her form and her recent results. Having finally slammed all her haters and lifting her second title after seven long months, she had to go through a very funny and interesting incident after her final matchup. Fans caught hold of her after the match, laying their request one after the other. Some of them wanted her shoes, while some wanted her earrings, which summed up her scintillating night.

At the post-match interview, she said, “Some people asked for my shoes, but I needed to walk. Some people asked for my bracelet. I was, like, this was a gift from someone. I can’t give you that. They asked for my earrings and hair ties and everything. Usually, I don’t mind giving. I always try to. Sometimes I try to ration it out because I am going to another tournament. Yeah, I love doing it.”

Gauff, who has had to go through a rollercoaster of emotions in the last few months, can finally breathe after winning the Citi Open. She literally answered all her people who were slamming her for her slump in form and her rough performances in the last few months. Not only did she face severe bashing from the media but also was held accused of charges of match-fixing for performances at the Stuttgart Open.

Due to this, she even had to part ways with her father who was coaching her during that time and she also broke down, taking time off from tennis. Having returned and roped in on a new coach, Pere Riba, Gauff has finally found her touch back and it is completely visible how much the Spaniard has brought the fire back into the American, breathing life into her game yet again.

Coco Gauff’s net worth is around $10 million and she will be adamant to keep this run going when she joins the Canadian Open on Wednesday. There have been many rumors about Coco Gauff’s boyfriend but currently, she is single.
