One of the top tennis prospects in the world, Coco Gauff has been under serious pressure for the past couple of months for her bad run of form. She has been going through a very disappointing stint losing most of the tournaments the American has played and that too right in the very first rounds. She had also suffered the worst run of defeats thereby losing 11 matches on the trot leading her to even sack her father who was coaching Gauff for quite some time.
Just before the Wimbledon Championships, Coco Gauff had put her trust in a new coach, Pere Riba. Although she couldn’t quite link up much with the Spaniard ahead of Wimbledon thereby getting knocked out of the tournament right in the very first round against Sofia Kenin. But she feels she has gained a lot of experience from Riba ahead of the Citi Open.
She said, “He used to play on tour not too long ago. He’s pretty young for a coach, and he has a great personality. You have to travel with this person. You see them more than your family — you want to make sure you get along on and off the court. We’re working together right now through the US Open, and obviously, if things go well, we’ll continue after.”
Will Coco Gauff get back to form ahead of the US Open?

Coco Gauff’s net worth is around $10 million and she received a lot of criticism after her disappointing finish at the German Open where she lost against Ekaterina Alexandrova. Her fans didn’t take this loss lightly at all, bashing the American teen all over social media and also putting pressure on her to sack her father as a coach. She was also accused of match-fixing which is for any player by far the harshest of allegations.
Gauff feels that her assignment with Pere Riba would bring success in the second half of the year. She has been suffering very badly due to her weak forehand and she has even spoken about it. Gauff also spoke about working on her serve and the first return shot in a rally. Even pundits had talked about her weakness i.e. she uses her forehand to return a ball with a defensive instinct rather than posing an aggressive shot leading to her losing several points in the past. There have been many rumors about Coco Gauff’s boyfriend but currently, she is single.
