World No. 23 Coco Gauff is one of the most talented youngsters on the WTA Tour and has captured the attention of the tennis fraternity across the globe through some breathtaking results at a very young age as the American celebrated her 18th birthday in March 2022.

Like many athletes, Gauff is quite interested in a variety of sports and basketball is one of those. The teenager a massive fan of the Miami Heat team in the NBA. Gauff has been spotted at the FTX Arena, the home stadium of Heat and is seen cheering the team from Miami who often welcomes the tennis star wholeheartedly.

The Heat is currently engaged in a back-and-forth battle with the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals of the NBA 2021-22 postseason. Heat won the first game and the Celtics got back in the second following a pattern to make it 2-2 at the end of Game 4. In Game 5, Celtics took the lead for the first time but Heat came back stronger in Game 6 to force the decider that will be played on Sunday, 29th May 2022.

After defeating Elise Mertens in the fourth round of the 2022 French Open, Gauff, in what has become a custom, wrote a message on one of the on-court cameras and the teen took the occasion to show her backing to her favourite team. Gauff wrote, Heat in 7,” and drew a small heart next to it. A win in the Game 7 will see Miami move into the 2022 NBA Finals where they will take on Golden State Warriors who defeated Dallas Mavericks 4-1 in the Western Conference Finals.
