Coco Gauff has made a surprising revelation in regards to her daily struggles with anxiety. The American admitted that she suffers from the ‘Imposter Syndrome,’ where a person believes that he/she is not deserving of the success they have achieved. The 19-year-old has already made a big name for herself in the world of tennis, and is highly rated by fans and the tennis community.

Despite having so many accomplishments at such a young age, Coco Gauff revealed that she is a victim of the Imposter Syndrome. Moreover, the American stated that this takes the shape of anxiety, which affects her performance during matches. She believes that this trait has been present in her ever since her childhood, where she tends to overread her performances.

“When I go out on the court, I have a lot of self-confidence, but I think throughout my life, even when I was a junior and playing in tournaments, I have been very anxious about how well I was playing, and when I went out on the court, I really felt I could win the game,said Gauff.

Coco Gauff’s net worth is around $10 million and she stated that ‘Imposter Syndrome’ is a serious issue, and she is working on improving her situation. The American is currently ranked third in the world, something which she finds it difficult to believe.

“I think it’s just about fighting these thoughts and realizing that I belong here. Imposter Syndrome is a serious thing, so sometimes I feel it, but it’s something I’m working on to understand that I’m here for a reason, that my ranking is here for a reason, and that I really deserve it,” said Gauff.

Coco Gauff has had a couple of disappointing results on the tour off-late, as she was knocked in the second round of the Stuttgart Open last week. She also failed to have deep runs at the Miami and Indian Wells Open, as she was knocked out in the third round and the quarterfinals, respectively. The world number three managed to reach the finals of the French Open last year, where she lost o Iga Swiatek in straight sets. She will hope to regain her form in time for the second Major of the year next month. There have been many rumors about Coco Gauff’s boyfriend but currently, she is single.
