Coco Gauff gives a savage response to fan asking to use her $3 million US Open to pay off her debts

Coco Gauff has achieved the pinnacle in the sport, as she claimed the 2023 US Open title on Saturday. The American tennis player came back from a set down in the finals to defeat Aryna Sabalenka. The sixth seed had a dominating run on her home turf, which caps off an astonishing hardcourt season.
Coco Gauff has been interacting with fans after her US Open title. The teenager took to Instagram, where she conducted a short live session to interact with her fans. The fans asked her various questions and also congratulated her on winning the US Open title.
One of the questions addressed to the American was whether she had any debt outstanding. The 19-year-old revealed that she did not have any debts since she never went to college and lives with her parents. She broke onto the big stage as early as 2019, when she was just 15 years old. Hence, she has spent the last couple of years focusing solely on tennis.
Coco Gauff gave a savage reply to a fan who asked her about her college loans.“Somebody said pay off debts… I’m 19, I don’t have any debt,” Gauff answered. “I live with my parents, and I did not go to college, so I don’t have any college bills to pay,” she added.
Coco Gauff claims maiden Grand Slam title on home turf at the 2023 US Open
Coco Gauff has been in red-hot form over the past couple of weeks, as she started the American hard court season by winning the Citi Open. This came on the back of a disappointing first-round exit from Wimbledon. She was defeated in the quarterfinals of the Canadian Open; however, she claimed the title in Cincinnati.
She came into the 2023 US Open as one of the top contenders. The American endured a couple of challenging matches at the start of the tournament; however, she grew stronger as the tournament progressed. The 19-year-old was looking out of sorts in the opening exchanges against Aryna Sabalenka in the finals. However, she came back stronger midway through the second set, as the initial nerves eased off a bit. From there on, she dominated the match and secured her maiden Grand Slam final title.
