Coco Gauff talks about how tough it is to stay motivated at this part of the season with no Grand Slams to prepare for

World No.8 Coco Gauff has attributed her 2022 rise, which saw her reach a Grand Slam final for the first time at Roland Garros, to her relaxed lifestyle including interests in Twitch and YouTube.
Gauff recently visited TwitchCon, where she met some of her favorite streamers including Rachel Hofstetter aka Valkyrae who she claims to have been following since she was 13. The annual event is being hosted in San Diego, where 18-year-old Gauff is also competing this week as part of a WTA event.
“A year ago or even a couple of months ago there’s no way I would have gone to TwitchCon before a tournament because I thought I had to solely focus my life on this,” said the American tennis player, adding “I realised that I have other interests and it’s OK to embrace it. I started doing that in Paris, that’s where it all started for me, and I found my results were much better. I realised it was the complete opposite of what I needed to do.”
At the event, Gauff also talked about how tough it could sometimes become for players to keep going at this part of the season after the Grand Slams.
“I definitely think this is the toughest part of the season for everyone. The Grand Slams are over and you’re just trying to get through the end of the season and you see the finish line. I’m just motivated to try and finish it as well as I can. I’m glad that San Diego is the start of the end,” said Gauff.
Coco Gauff gives it back to internet troll

Recently, the American tennis player shared a series of stunning pictures of herself from NYC and got a lot of positive responses from fans all around the world. But there was one person that attempted to troll her and Gauff gave a befitting reply to him.
The person called her a clown and questioned Gauff that she has time to dress but not bag any major titles. He also laughed that people really thought she would become the next Serena Williams. “You got time to dress like a clown but not bag any Grand Slams? Hahaha. And people really thought you were the next Serena,” the troll wrote.
Gauff, as savage and confident as ever, counter-questioned the troll that he has time to comment bulls**it like a clown and not get a job? She called him goofy and asked him to get off the couch and touch some real grass. She blatantly said that meat riding and hating is an illness and wished him a speedy recovery.
“You got time to comment bs like a clown and not get a job? Hahaha. And you really thought you ate. That’s why nobody hits yo line GOOFY. Thx for the follow back tho. Get off the couch and touch some grass. Meat riding and hating is an illness. I hope you get well soon,” Gauff replied.
