As emotions ran high in the intense semi-final clash between Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev at the ATP Finals in Turin, the Russian was involved in an altercation with a spectator after he was heckled.

The World No.3 seemed visibly frustrated and angry during his match against the Italian as he was constantly being heckled at by the crowd in Turin. In a fit of anger, Daniil Medvedev turned to one of the spectators who was heckling at him and approached him challenging him to an altercation.

As the first set went in favor of the Italian, Daniil Medvedev made an epic comeback to steal the second set. However, the crowd support for their home favorite seemed a bit one-sided as the Russian was at the receiving end of the heckles and boos. After a point, when he could no longer take it, the 2023 US Open finalist lashed back at the crowd and pointed out specifically towards one of the spectators and engaged in an intense altercation with the heckler.

The 2021 US Open champion has a bad history with crowd interaction. The Russian tennis player is someone who is very straightforward and bold in his approach. The World No.3 recently made headlines for flipping the crowd of Paris after his defeat against Grigor Dimitrov at the Paris Masters. From his past experiences and gestures on the court, it is quite evident that Daniil Medvedev does not play to win the crowd.

Jannik Sinner engaged in an intense three-set thriller with Daniil Medvedev to defeat the Russian 6-3,6(4)-7(7),6-1. The World No.4 overcame the Russian in 2 hours and 29 minutes and now awaits the winner of the second semi-final clash between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. He is the first Italian man to reach this stage at the ATP Finals event.

Jannik Sinner has had a dream run at the ATP Finals till now. The Italian is undefeated in the tournament having reached the finals. He also defeated the Serbian legend, Novak Djokovic in his pursuit of reaching the finals in Turin. The 22-year-old will face tough competition from either the World No.1 or 2, however, his recent form will definitely boost his chances of becoming the first Italian man to win the ATP Finals trophy.
