The Paris Masters 2023 has been a huge success till now, with some upsets in the initial matches. First, it was the early exit of Ben Shelton, then Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, and now Daniil Medvedev have joined the list. This is the first match of the tournament for the Russian, who suffered a tough loss after a long match.

The match between Grigor Dimitrov and Daniil Medvedev has been a long one, with huge rallies played in between points. One of the points even went on to an epic 47-shot-long rally that left both players catching their breath. Grigor Dimitrov had a clear match point against Medvedev, who played a ridiculous rally to save the match point and the match. 

The fans cheered on both players with a huge round of applause for their effort at the point. They played an important role in the long match by cheering on their players, and no one had their eyes off the ball during the huge rally, even though it was the match point. Medvedev wasn’t ready to go down without a fight and gave it his all to win the point.

Daniil Medvedev loses to Grigor Dimitrov in a heated match

During the nerve-jangling match between Daniil Medvedev and Grigor Dimitrov, a lot of emotions have been shown on the court by both fans and the players.

After the initial set win from the Bulgarian, Medvedev fought hard to secure the second set to his name but soon lost his track in the third set. Grigor managed to win five games in the third set, whereas the Russian won only three. Dimitrov could not capitalize on his first match point, and Medvedev, who doesn’t let opportunities pass easily, grabbed them and soon took the set to a decider.

Grigor lost six match points before the tiebreak but soon played extremely well in the tiebreak to secure a huge win in his seventh match point. The final score was 6-3, 6(4), 7-6(2). After a long match, Dimitrov advances to the next round of the tournament and will play Alexander Bublik. He will now try to use this win to boost his confidence ahead of the next round and hope to finish deep in this tournament.
