Last year’s Toronto Open winner and currently ranked no. 1 by ATP, Daniil Medvedev is set to play in this year’s competition. The Russian won the title, defeating Reilly Opelka in the final, 6–4, 6–3. Medvedev who was among the favourites to win Wimbledon couldn’t play in the tournament because of his Russian nationality.

The tournament is scheduled to begin on 5th August and will conclude on 14th August. This year’s Australian and French Open winner Rafael Nadal will also feature after recovering from his injury in the quarter-finals against Taylor Fritz, who is also on the list of participants in the tournament.
