The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has confirmed the four cities to host the 2024 Davis Cup Final Group stages, which starts on the 10th of September (running until the 15th of September). Manchester’s AO Arena in Britain is the highlight among other venues, as the event returns to the country for the second consecutive time.
The venues for the ‘World Cup of Tennis’ are Bologna’s Unipol Arena in Italy, Manchester’s AO Arena in Britain, Valencia’s Pabellon Fuente de San Luis in Spain and Zhuhai’s Hengqin International Tennis Center in China. Each city will host one group of the four groups that will be drawn.
The group stage will see two teams advance from each group after a competitive round-robin format in which each team will play against each other once. Then the competition will enter the final 8 knockout in Malaga from 19-24 November, where the 2024 Davis Cup champion will be crowned.
This marks the third successive year that Bologna and Valencia will host the group stage play, while the inclusion of Zhuhai will mark the first time China has hosted a Davis Cup Finals event. Also, Zhuhai was chosen to ease players’ burden when the Asian Tour swing begins in September.
They added that the main draw for the group stage will be held in London on the 19th of March and will be streamed live on the Davis Cup website and social media channels.
Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czechia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain (wild card), Italy (qualified as 2023 winners), Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain (wild card), and the USA are the 16 countries in the draw for the 2024 Davis Cup Finals group stage.

Italy defeated Australia to secure their first Davis Cup title in 47 years. Jannik Sinner had helped Italy defeat Novak Djokovic’s Serbia in the semifinals and was impressive in the final.
Italian Matteo Arnaldi beat Aussie Alexei Popyrin 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 in the opening singles match to put Italy 1-0 up in the final. Then Sinner backed it up with a sterling 6-3, 6-0 win over Alex De Minaur.
Sinner said after the win:
It has been an incredible feeling for all of us, obviously we are really happy.Jannik Sinner said
Italy ended the hopes of Australia, who were bidding to win their 29th Davis Cup title. The Aussies were left dismayed after another back-to-back final loss, having been beaten by Canada in 2022. However, the Italy team flooded the court in jubilation as they celebrated with their star man Jannik Sinner.
