The US Open 2021 winner and currently ranked at no. 10, Emma Raducanu is set to take part in this year’s competition as well. The Briton won the prestigious hard court title defeating Leylah Fernandez in the final in straight-sets. She also rolled through the tournament without dropping a set. It was a dominant display by the 18-year-old from Great Britain, who was not expected to win a Grand Slam title in this little period in her professional tennis career.
