Honestly, I don’t look back much, it’s always been hard for me to evaluate my career. I feel like it could have been much better, but you didn’t love tennis as much as Rafa Nadal, who even enjoys it. I think that helps to push yourself and sacrifice one more step. However, now when I look at the young players, I see that I sacrificed a lot more, but compared to Roger Federer not enough,” he said.

The Russian has been more successful as a coach rather than as a player. He loves to train with players and wants one day to become a coach of a player who wins the Grand Slam under his guidance.
