The new ATP season kicked off with the United Cup in December. While tennis fans enjoy the action on the court, the ATP Tour production team has come up with a satirical yet genius video that has left fans in splits. The video takes aim at those who claim that the season is all scripted. The creativity reaches a new high as the video shows Bert Critchley playing Novak Djokovic on the ATP Tour while Andy Murray is played by Fraser McKnight.

The video starts with Fraser aka Murray saying that the tour is all scripted and people do not realize it. He goes on to take a dig at the critics saying it is like a TV reality show.

Bert Critchley then emerges out of the shadows explaining how he is trying to portray Novak Djokovic as a real person by bringing essence and personality to it. He says that he wants people to relate to him. Gael Monfils then accepts how hard it is for him to play an athlete despite not being that good with coordination in real life.

The producers take it a notch higher as they show players giving winning speeches with a green screen behind them. Meanwhile, Andrey Rublev is seen recording his grunts and also recording the ‘hardcourt sneaker squeaks’. Holger Rune and Junchen Shang are shown as younger casts.

What is even more interesting is that the ATP Tour created Instagram accounts for these actors. Birt Critchley is the ‘Dog Dad’.
