World No. 107 Emma Raducanu is in the news once again. Apart from her endorsement activities and personal life being in the news, her coaching situation is also widely discussed. While many decades ago, farmers used to apply the ‘Chop and Change’ policy, it seems Raducanu is doing the same.
Ever since coming into the public eye at the 2021 Wimbledon and her win at the 2021 US Open, the Briton has been followed closely. During the two years period, her coaching situation has been much debated. It’s been observed that the 20-year-old has made frequent changes that are often pinned as the reason for her drop in form since the title in New York.
While she is currently out injured due to wrist surgery, she announced yet another coaching dismissal. Raducanu appointed Sebastian Sachs back in December 2022. Sachs had come to the limelight as coach of Belinda Bencic and guided her to the Olympics singles Gold in Tokyo. Things however did not work between the two as Raducanu announced the split.
Taking to her Twitter handle, the former World No. 10 tweeted, “I have really enjoyed Seb’s coaching and working with him, it’s unfortunate that circumstances made it unfeasible for both of us to continue right now and we have decided to part ways. I wish Seb all the best moving forwards.”

Fans however did not hold back. With many pinning their hopes on the player for success, her coaching changes have been disappointing for her. Change in tutelage results in instability with constant chances believe many and the 20-year-old was made to bear the brunt of it on social media.
Raducanu had already announced to miss the entire clay season after her surgery post playing in Stuttgart.
