“Chelsea has kept managers longer” Emma Raducanu’s coaching situation becomes a laughing stock as British PM Liz Truss resigns after 45 days in office

Emma Raducanu and Liz Truss
Emma Raducanu has been one of the most targeted players on social media and she was at the centre of jokes once again. Raducanu had a sudden shot to stardom following her title in the 2021 US Open. But with the subsequent drop in her form, Raducanu has been trolled massively over the last year.
The 19-year-old was dragged once again into an unwarranted controversy. With Liz Truss resigning after just 45 days as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom she became the shortest-serving PM in British history. With the nation continuously in political and economic crisis, Truss handed in her resignation.
With Truss also becoming the centre of memes on social media, Raducanu was also targeted. With the US Open champ having undergone as many as four coaches since the 2021 Wimbledon Championships, the tenure of Raducanu’s coaches was compared to Truss’ reign as the PM of the nation.
“Emma Raducanu has had coaches that lasted longer than Liz Truss as prime minister,” was one of the tweets which quickly went viral. Twitter users quickly came up with more situations on a similar analogy comparing Raducanu’s coaching and Truss’ resignation.
Emma Raducanu continues looking for a new head coach

Raducanu’s last coach was Russia’s Dmitry Tursunov. Tursunov and Raducanu joined forces during the US Open leg series with the Briton reaching two quarter-finals under Tursunov’s tutelage. Despite that, Raducanu and Tursunov parted ways and the involvement of Raducanu’s father has once again been hinted at.
Tursunov’s social media activity immediately after his split with Raducanu suggested the split was not mutual and rather an escape for Tursunov. While Raducanu continues to hunt for a new coach, Tursunov has joined reigning Olympic champion Belinda Bencic as her head coach.
For Raducanu however, her first full season on the Tour is over with only the 2022 BJK Cup Finals left for her. With the new season more than two months away, the Briton has enough time to sort out her coaching situation to prepare for the next season. Twitteratis were however not bothered with these and continued to make a mockery of Raducanu and Truss’ situation.
