British young sensation Emma Raducanu’s stalker has tried to get his community service sentence scrapped. Amrit Magar, 36, was found guilty of stalking the 20-year-old between November 1 and December 4 in 2021. He has cited some medical reasons for such an appeal.
The married man made the journey to the 2021 US Open champion’s home and left a note in which wrote that she ‘deserved love’. As if it was not enough, he stole her father’s shoe believing that it was Raducanu’s. Afterward, he was found guilty of stalking her and was given a five-year restraining order, 18-month community order, and 200 hours of unpaid work at Bromley Magistrates’ court.
It was a horrible ordeal for Raducanu as she detailed the incident after the man was found guilty. “I feel like my freedom has been taken away from me. And I am constantly looking over my shoulder. I feel on edge and worried this could happen again, I don’t feel safe in my own home, which is where I should feel safest,” she said then. Now, according to The Sun, the man has ‘submitted the documents’ to have the community service scrapped.

The British No. 1 tennis star Emma Raducanu has been absent from the tour after her Australian Open exit last month. Continuing her poor form, Raducanu bowed out of the tournament after losing to Coco Gauff in the second round. Now she must be hoping to get back to the winning ways when she hits the court in Indian Wells.
Due to prolonged poor form, Raducnau slipped to 80th place in the rankings. Consequently, she was awarded a wildcard after missing the cut for direct entry to the women’s main draw. Earlier In 2022, Raducanu exited the tournament in the second round. This time she will certainly aspire to go far and redeem herself after some tough patch.
After her Australian Open exit, she accepted the faults and vowed to bounce back. “I’m feeling good and confident that, in six months’ time. I know it’s not going to be the finished product, but hopefully, I would have made strides,” she expressed at that time.
