World No. 3 Daniil Medvedev, has been known for his serious yet hilarious comments towards the fans or the match referee. His remark to the match referee about being a ‘small cat’ went viral on social media. This time he received an equally humiliating retort as the fans savagely sent him a flying kiss when Medvedev called them stupid. The Russian continued to complain to the match referee that he was distracted with his serve because of the fans, but soon changed his gear to focus again and resumed the match.

Who is at fault here? Well, some people believe that the fan shouldn’t disturb the concentration and momentum of the player while others believe that the player should maintain their cool and play their game. Fans have the right to cheer for the players, but in between points they are supposed to be silent and respect the player. Medvedev will now be facing Sebastian Baez in the third round at Flushing Meadows.
