For the past two years, to contain the Coronavirus spread in the USA and around the world, the authorities had implemented this rule to not allow unvaccinated tennis fans to attend the competition from the stands. Now this year, they have decided to lift some restrictions.

While it may be good news for the audience, there has been no such announcement for the tennis players. Tennis players such as Novak Djokovic had to miss out on the Indian Wells Open for two years straight due to stringent rules of the authorities.

Besides this tournament, the 21-time Grand Slam champion also had to miss out on other prestigious tournaments such as the Miami Open, Cincinnati Masters, Hall of Fame Open, CITI Open, and the last Grand Slam of the year, the US Open. Novak Djokovic has consistently refused to get vaccinated. He also had to lose the opportunity to play at the Australian Open this year as a consequence.

Social media users are merrily surprised at the sudden announcement. However, many are also questioning the reason why it was implemented in the first place. Also, many are demanding the same for the players. Here are a few reactions coming in on the above post.
