Twitter users call Cameron Norrie an inspiration

Cameron Norrie started the season by participating in the ATP Cup for Team Great Britain. He was disappointing in the Australian Open too, as he was knocked out in the first round itself. But he bounced back by winning the Delray Beach Open and defeating Reilly Opelka in the final. He reached the final of the Mexican Open but was defeated by Rafael Nadal in this match.
The 27-year-old followed it with participation for Great Britain in the Davis Cup. He then featured in Indian Wells Open. However, his run was cut short by Carlos Alcaraz in the quarter-finals round of the tournament. He won the Open Parc Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes-Lyon tournament in the run-up to the French Open. But he could not do much as Karen Khachanov knocked him out in the third round of the French Open.
He was fantastic at Wimbledon as he reached the semi-finals of The Championships. Tennis sensation Novak Djokovic defeated him in this match. He subsequently lost the final match of the Los Cabos Open. Although he played well in the USA as he reached the semi-finals round of the Cincinnati Masters, the popular personality eventually was defeated by Borna Coric in this match. He was knocked out of the US Open due to a fourth-round loss at the hands of Andrey Rublev.
He was in contention of qualifying for the ATP Finals, but the US Open loss and poor form in the subsequent tournaments bereft him of his chance. But Cameron Norrie is not short of confidence. His fans too are touched by his tweet.
Sharing a wide spectrum of reactions online, here are a few reactions coming in on the post above.
Even Taylor Fritz cannot believe his eyes. He wrote on his post:
“Wow that’s unreal actually” The American’s caption read.
However, 2023 would be a new beginning. If he can keep up his form and fitness at maximum levels, then he can win many laurels for himself as well as for Great Britain.
