Andy Murray after a long time won a match in straight sets. He defeated Radu Albot in the second-round of the ongoing Indian Wells Open. He recorded his last straight sets win in October 2022 against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the Gijon Open 2022.
The Briton in the very twilight of his career has found new boisterousness. He is playing with renewed confidence and courage and that is helping him very much. He has also renewed his partnership with former World No.1 and brilliant coach Ivan Lendl in 2022. This is helping him to scale greater heights and he continues to do so.
For many winning a match in a ATP 1000 tournament in straight sets may not be a big deal. However, for the former World No.1 it is and he is celebrating it. Even he in his latest social media post acknowledged the feeling of it.

The three-time Grand Slam champion is making all the right news this season. He started his season at the Adelaide International 1 tournament. However, he was knocked out in the first-round itself by Sebastian Korda. But the real resurgence of the champion player soon began at the Australian Open. He defeated both Matteo Berrettini and Thanasi Kokkinakis in marathon five-set thrillers in the first and second rounds respectively.
Andy Murray was knocked out in the third round by Roberto Bautista Agut. However, his run in the first Grand Slam of the season inspired many and gave him new confidence. He also reached the final of the Qatar Open where he was defeated by Daniil Medvedev.

Andy Murray’s performances has also helped him to improve his ranking. He is currently ranked as World No. 55 in the ATP rankings. He is expected to climb higher positions after the sunshine doubles. Also, new vigor in his form can help bolster his chances in the upcoming clay swing of the season.
