Serbian legend Novak Djokovic registered another win at the 2022 ATP Finals as he defeated Andrey Rublev in straight sets 6-4,6-1. He defeated the young prodigy comfortably within 1 hour and 8 minutes of play that eased his way into the semifinals in his 15th appearance in Turin. Post the win, he walked up to the kids and gave them whole-hearted celebratory hugs.

The 21-time Grand Slam champion is two wins away from winning the title which will equal his record with Roger Federer who is a six-time ATP Finals champion. It also marks his 11th semifinal appearance at the Year-end championship. The Serb looked dominant throughout the match as he broke early in the game.

As soon as he won the match, he went ahead to his children to give congratulatory hugs which was quite a unique way of celebrating the win. It was highly appreciated on social media as it showed how much the win mattered to him and his family, especially with the presence of his son Stefan and daughter Tara.

The kids have traveled all the way to Turin to cheer for their dad from the stands. The young kids were delighted to watch their dad win. They even did some happy dances while the Serb’s wife Jelena observed them enjoy with a broad smile on her face.

They went on to praise Novak Djokovic for celebrating the win with the best audience. Some even pointed out the fact that it would have been special since the Serb’s visa ban has been uplifted for the ‘Down-Under’ 2023.

Djokovic had defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first match to start his campaign at the final ATP event of the year on a positive note. He still has one match to go which is against Daniil Medvedev. Post the match, it will decide the table topper of the Red Group at the ATP Finals.
