The ‘post-puke’ Sinner theory is going out of hand now. Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner has hands-down been the most in-form performer in the past few months. Strangely enough, many fans have theorized that the moment when he puked in a bin during his quarter-final match against Grigor Dimitrov at the 2023 China Open was the turning point of his career and that he has been a changed player ever since.

Speaking of the incident, Sinner had already looked ill during his first-round match against Dan Evans. In his match against Grigor Dimitrov, he threw up in a bin but still managed to win the match 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. And since then, the Italian has been a completely different player and that’s a fact. He went on to win the China Open by defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final of the tournament and has since won the Vienna Open, the Australian Open, the Davis Cup, and has also defeated Novak Djokovic multiple times, against whom he did not even have a single win until the 2023 Paris Masters

In a recent event, Canadian player Felix Auger-Aliassime also puked in a bin during his first match of Open Sud de France against Arthur Cazaux. The incident has forced fans to connect it to the ‘post-puke theory’ and some fans are now estimating that the 23-year-old will now also experience a meteoric rise in form.

Auger-Aliassime went through a tough phase in his career during the first half of 2023 but has pretty much recovered from it. He won the Swiss indoors in October and is gradually making a comeback to his peak. He defeated Cazaux in the first match of the ongoing Open Sud de France and will face Harold Mayot in the second round (quarter-final).

While many fans are jokingly connoting a connection between Felix Auger-Ailiassime and Jannik Sinner puking during their matches, some are serious about it and have implied that the Canadian might seriously improve now. However, many also think that he is trying to copy the Italian.

“Felix is about to become the greatest tennis player this world has ever seen,” a fan hilariously tweeted.

Some fans, on the other hand, feel that Felix Auger-Aliassime is going to win the Sunshine Double (Indian Wells and Miami Open) now. In reality, though, it is true that the Canadian is making a comeback but it is slow and steady and it will probably take him a long time before he can compete for the top titles on tour again.
