23-year-old Felix Auger-Aliassime is one of the young players who is trying his best to climb the rank but has not been able to show his full potential on the court restricting him from achieving immense success in the sport. The Canadian has not had much impact this year as well and only one ATP title. He suffered from an injury and then faced the pressure of a losing streak which downed his game even more.
To the Canadian Press, the 29th-ranked star recalled his psychological battles during the losing streak and dealing with injuries. The Canadian had been dealing with his knee injury throughout the season which lowered his confidence and affected his mental health. He said during the interview:
Losing in the first round and having to wait 10–15 days before the next match gives you a lot of days to train, to think and say to yourself: Okay, the next match, it would be good if I won it...We have to win to give ourselves another chance to play. Psychologically, it’s quite difficult to manage.

On top of dealing with injuries, Auger-Aliassime was dealing with the added pressure of a losing streak. He kept on losing early in the tournament which added to emotional baggage which affected his health. In one of the matches, the 23-year-old was on a 5-game losing streak, before facing Matteo Berrettini. He made a strong comeback and won the game.
Season review of the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime
2022 rising star, Felix Auger-Aliassime had a phenomenal season last year by winning 4 titles. He entered 2023 as one of the most promising players but failed to deliver to the expectations. After a promising quarter-final run at the Australian Open, Auger-Aliassime wasn’t able to manage that form for the rest of the year.

After the French Open, he spiraled pretty badly with a major losing streak. After the French Open, he lost 7 out of his next 8 matches including major losses at the Wimbledon, and the US Open.
Now the season has ended and the Canadian only has one title this year. With the 2024 season in the blink of an eye, many players like Rafael Nadal, and Naomi Osaka are returning after some time off the court. Auger-Aliassime also can make a return along with these players and prove what he is truly capable of.
