Nick Kyrgios and Matteo Berrettini
Legendary Italian tennis player, Nicola Pietrangeli criticized Matteo Berrettini over his choice of priority and picked Jannik Sinner as the best Italian player. However, Nick Kyrgios defends Matteo’s choice and justifies his reasons for the same. Nicola earlier felt Matteo is more focused on making money through advertising, commercials, and sponsors. On the other hand, Sinner is actually getting results on the court and hence he is Italy’s top player.
Nick did not hesitate to hit back at the Italian’s comments and tweeted that there is nothing wrong in prioritizing money. However, Twitter had mixed opinions on Nick’s comments as a few felt there is nothing wrong said by Nicola while others agreed with Nick.
Nick Kyrgios took to his Twitter and said “But isn’t it his choice to prioritize? I can assure you this, he is making more bank than sinner off the court, and for some of us, money is important.”
Nick Kyrgios who is active on his socials never hesitated to express his opinion on any issue. He was one of the few players who stood by Novak Djokovic on his deportation from the Australian Open last year. Kyrgios is known for being outspoken on social media and has been involved in several controversies over the years. He has used his platform to speak out against racism, inequality, and social injustice, and has also been critical of other tennis players and officials.
