Novak Djokovic continues his title defence as he defeated Alex Molcan 6-2, 6-3, 7-6(4) in the second round. While the first two sets were a complete Novak show, Molcan came back stronger in the third set and looked to force a 4th set but the Serbian came clutch in the final few games of the third set to take and win the match in the tiebreaker. Novak now extends his winning run to 7 consecutive matches with no set dropped.

Aljaz Bedene has already turned a few heads towards himself with his run to the third round. The 32-year old Slovenian came to Paris with only win for the season but has grinded out wins in the first two rounds. He defeated Christopher O’Connell in 4-sets and had a similar result against Pablo Cuevas, only against Pablo, he had lost the first set and then rallied to comeback and win the next three sets to take the win. He matches his best result at French Open and also in Grand Slams in general by reaching the third round and is now 9-9 in Paris.
