Gauff has had a funny 2023 season. She started with a fantastic win at the ASB Classic and backed it up with a few deep runs on the singles court. However, as the season progresses, her form has shifted from the singles court to the doubles court. She has somehow lost her crucial form on the singles court, and that worries her fans. However, she seems to have gotten a bit of her old self back this year in Paris. She has won one of her first two rounds, having dropped only one set so far, and looks confident going forward.

On the other hand, Mirra Andreeva has the whole tennis community admiring her skill. She has had a good tour so far, with multiple ITF wins and a fourth-round run at the Madrid Masters. Knocking out two-seeded players was a great result for the Russian. She has carried that form into the French Open. Winning her first two rounds, having only dropped six games in all. She has looked far different from what her ranking of 143 suggests.

Mirra Andreeva and Coco Gauff will clash for the first time. Both players would like to get that crucial lead in the head-to-head. Having not played each other, both players will have a few mysteries waiting for each other.

In her three years on the tour, the American has proven to be extremely gritty and tough. She made it to the finals last year and knows the Paris courts well enough. However, with the kind of form Mirra Andreeva is coming in with, one can take the risk of predicting an upset. It will be a clash between staying in the present and3 sets is what we feel, with Andreeva winning in the third.

Match Prediction: Mirra Andreeva to win in 3 sets

Andreeva is at +115 to beat Coco Gauff to advance to the Round of 16 in the French Open when sports betting online.
