He has defeated both Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic back-to-back in the same tournament. The young gun came from a set down against the world number 1 as her defeated Novak 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 to earn his place in the final of the Mutua Madrid Open.
Alcaraz joked that he would have to call David Nalbandian to know how to beat Novak Djokovic in order to complete the coveted journey of beating both Rafa Nadal and Djokovic in the same tournamnet. With this tremendous marathon win, Alcaraz has established himself as a feared opposition on clay and he will definitely look towards the Grand Slam at the Roland-Garros.
