Gael Monfils is among the greatest entertainers in tennis. The Frenchman always has the crowd involved with his on-court antics, and his amazing shot-making skills. It was no different at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, where he had a rather awkward moment with one of the fans inside the stadium.

The Ultimate Tennis Showdown involves some of the biggest stars in the sport, which includes the likes of Benoit Paire, Alexander Bublik and Frances Tiafoe to name a few. It takes place over the course of three days, with the current edition being held in Los Angeles. The next edition will be held in Frankfurt in September.

Gael Monfils is among the nicest and most easy-going players on the tour. The Frenchman handed his wristband to that fan, and also shook hands with him after the conclusion of the match. The UTS is a relatively new concept, as the first edition of the tournament was played in 2020 in Nice, France.

The event starts with the round-robin stages, followed by the knockout rounds. Gael Monfils has played only one match so far, defeating Frances Tiafoe. The format of the games are pretty different than the conventional form.

The players competing at the event are given unique names, which usually precedes their actual name. The ongoing tournament will conclude on 23rd July, as the UTS is generally held twice or thrice a year. It is a great opportunity for the players to go out there and enjoy themselves amidst a vibrant crowd and atmosphere.
