Bulgarian tennis star Grigor Dimitrov had an unsuccessful yet successful campaign at the 2024 Miami Open. As the 32-year-old made it to the final, it was a memorable outing for Dimitrov. However, he could not convert it into a title-winning campaign as Jannik Sinner got the best out of him in the final. Nevertheless, Dimitrov was happy with his performance.
After the straight-set defeat to Sinner, the Bulgarian talked about his campaign in detail. The 32-year-old said that he was determined to do well and almost pulled it off by reaching the final. While Dimitrov rued not winning the title, he claimed to be feeling “like a winner”.

He talked about his opponent’s gameplay and heaped praise on Sinner for his skills. Dimitrov then talked about his campaign at the Masters tournament and said that it has always been a challenging task to compete in Miami. The 32-year-old, however, was happy that he came that far.
This tournament has been difficult throughout all the years. This year I was so determined to do well that I almost did too well...It’s been extremely special to play in front of the fans. I’m just very grateful and thankful. When I look at my box, I feel like a winner. Thank you all. I love you a lot.Grigor Dimitrov said about his Miami Open campaign.
Grigor Dimitrov surging again!
Although he might have failed to win the title in Miami, Grigor Dimitrov has made a statement with his performance in the ATP 1000 tournament. The 32-year-old has announced that he is back in the hunt for titles.

Dimitrov started the season with a title in Brisbane and ended almost a seven-year drought. Now, he beat three top 10 players on his way to the final in Miami. Dimitrov took down Hubert Hurkacz, Carlos Alcaraz, and Alexander Zverev in the fourth round, quarterfinal, and semifinal in that order to set up a clash with Jannik Sinner.
Although he was brushed aside in straight sets, the Bulgarian looked happy and the reason was his consistency throughout the tournament. Also, Dimitrov broke into the top 10 after five years as he reached the ninth position in the ATP rankings.
The 32-year-old has been consistently performing at big tournaments and it seems, a Masters title is around the corner for Dimitrov. It is a matter of time before the Bulgarian gets the deserving reward for his relentless hard work in the past few months.
