Priscilla Hon, the 24-year-old player from Australia had received a wild-card entry at the Australian Open but failed to go past the first round. But she couldn’t go past the qualifiers at the other Grand Slam tournaments of the year. She was in the semifinals of the 2014 Wimbledon Girls Doubles.
Hon made a shocking revelation when she decided to voice out her opinions and stood against all the online hate and abuses she has been facing lately on social media. She even pointed out the fact that it’s not the first time rather players like her are always on the receiving end of such abuse which affects them mentally and also hampers their mental peace. She said that it is a constant action from trollers to attack players personally and professionally and she is sure others would feel the same.
She further expressed her disappointment against such actions by trollers as she feels people have stooped so low to defame someone just on the basis of losing some kind of bet. She shared some screenshots of the abuse she has received on her social media accounts where people have personally attacked Hon as well as have been quite demeaning. She is in disbelief at the actions of such trollers.

Hon hasn’t had much success on the ITF circuit but she is slowly making her way. She won her fourth ITF singles title at the ITF Australia 13A where she defeated Kimberly Birrell to get the win. She again reached another semifinal which was at the ITF Australia 14A but lost to Lizette Cabrera. She faced a shocking elimination at the US Open in her second qualifiers despite registering a great win in her first qualifiers. Priscilla Hon achieved her first Grand Slam main draw win at the French Open in 2019 but was beaten by Madison Keys in the second round of the tournament.
