Donald Trump, Nick Adams and Andy Roddick

Andy Roddick, the former world number one from America, was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2017 after he retired from his singles career in 2012. Roddick was known for his power at service and also holds the record for the fastest serve which is often unreturnable. He remained one of the best hope for America on the ATP Tour till the time he retired. The 2003 US Open finalist had managed to reach four other major finals- three times being at Wimbledon in 2004,2006 and 2009 and once being at the US Open in 2006 but couldn’t manage to win over Roger Federer in all four instances.

Even after a decade since his retirement, Roddick continues to remain the last American man to win a major, the last to hold the world No. 1 ranking, and also be the World No. 1 at the end of the year, which proves his contribution to the tennis, especially for his country. Roddick had some spectacular performances in his career especially since he was a part of the longest Wimbledon finals in 2009 which went on for 4 hours and 17 minutes. The match also marked the last time Roddick reached a Grand Slam final as he retired 3 years later with only two more quarter-final appearances in majors.

Twitter troll Nick Adams for drawing comparisons between Andy Roddick and Donald Trump

Andy Roddick

Nick Adams, the Australian author did the inevitable when he shared a post on the social media account Twitter where he compared Donald Trump‘s tennis abilities to some of the greatest players of the sport especially his serve with Andy Roddick. He even asked to stop talking about the 23-time singles major champion Serena Williams who is playing her final Grand Slam tournament at the US Open and rather focus on the greatness of Donald Trump, the former President of the United States. Tennis Twitter troll Nick Adams for such an ambiguous comparison.
